Behaviour : Good to be Green

We have a three-stage behaviour management system in school: The system is progressive so you would start on a verbal warning and then progress to yellow then to a red. Red cards can be given for behaviours that we deem to be unacceptable at school without going through the system.

Stage 1 : Verbal Warning

Stage 2 : Yellow card ( Turn card over in class display)

Stage 3 : Red card (  Missed playtime or 15 minutes from lunchtime)

Verbal warnings are given for the behaviours to ensure the child knows they are making the wrong choice in terms of their behaviour.

After talking to our children and staff we have created a list of behaviours that we feel would warrant a yellow card. These may include:

  • Talking when an adult is.
  • Not following instructions.
  • Shouting across a classroom
  • Being disrespectful.
  • Snatching

  • A second yellow card behaviour (as listed previously within the same lesson)
  • Spitting
  • Swearing
  • Throwing equipment across a classroom
  • Threatening behaviour

Serious Incidents

Orange Form

Blue Form

If behaviour is verbally inappropriate, then children will be issued with a Blue form, which is then dealt with by a member of the Leadership Team.
