You will be aware that there has been a huge rebuild and refurbishment programme going on over the summer holidays. Regrettably, although perhaps not unsurprisingly with a project of this magnitude, we have experienced some delays over these summer weeks, meaning much of the building will sadly not be ready for the children to return as planned. I am very sorry, but I have had to take the decision today that the new term will be delayed by 3 days. This means that the term will start on Monday 8th September instead.
I can only apologise for any inconvenience these additional 3 days will cause you, but I have waited as long as possible to make the decision in the hope that the work would catch up. I am also mindful that you will need reasonable notice, so I hope that 1 weeks’ notice gives you some time to plan for any inconvenience. I also hope you will agree that I must make Health and Safety a priority, and we simply would not have enough classrooms and circulation space back to accommodate all 230 children.
Please call the school office on 01384 569333 if you wish to discuss the above issues.
Many thanks in advance for your understanding on this matter, and sincere apologies once again for any disruption caused.
Welcome to Corngreaves Primary School’s Website. My name is Michelle Green and I have the best job in the world, as I am Head teacher of this wonderful school. There are so many marvellous things I want to tell you about Corngreaves Primary so I hope that you will find this website both informative and useful. Through our website, we aim to give you the full flavour of all that we offer the children and families of Corngreaves.
We provide the highest quality education for children from 3 up to 11 years of age. In that time we make sure that they have lots of exciting learning opportunities to enable them to reach their full potential. After up to seven years at Corngreaves we guarantee that your child will leave us as a confident individual, successful learner and a responsible citizen. We sincerely hope that your child will leave with a strong sense of achievement, satisfaction and a life long love for learning.
Our hope is that each child and their family will look back and recall their time at Corngreaves, as a time of achievement and hard work but also of fun and friendships; a time during which they were able to sow the seeds of future success.
If you would like to visit us, please ring the school office to make an appointment as we would love you to see for yourself what a truly remarkable school Corngreaves is.
I personally look forward to meeting you and showing you around our lovely school.
